Spring is an eventful time in the PA Great Lakes Region!

The Oil Creek 5 & 13 Stacked Trail Race is your opportunity to run through “the Valley that Changed the World” in either a five-mile, 13-mile or 18-mile race May 20 at Drake Well Museum and Park in Titusville, PA

The race includes portions of Drake Well and Oil Creek State Park including its Gerard Trail. Runners and hikers of all skill levels are welcome to participate.

Gear up for some gravel road bike racing with the second annual Roughneck Gravel Roubaix, which takes off at the Titusville Ironworks in Titusville, PA May 27.

Easter Bunny rides on the Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad are sold out for this year, but there are still plenty of opportunities to schedule 3-hour trips on the excursion train. Other special events of the OC&T include Murder Mysteries and Wine Tasting train rides.

The Easter Bunny will make appearances throughout the Great lakes Region including brunch at Cross Creek Resort in Titusville and Easter Bunny Lane at Kraynaks in Hermitage, PA, a 300-foot indoor avenue of beautiful, brightly colored trees and life-like animated characters. The associated lawn and garden center has everything you need to get your garden started.

Catch Midori or Mozart’s Requiem performed by the Erie Philharmonic at the gorgeous Warner Theatre in Erie, PA. or The Kentucky Headhunters or The Georgia Thunderbolts at the Barrow-Civic Theatre in Franklin, PA.

Graffiti Gallery in  Oil City hosts a photography exhibit weekends in April. It’s just one attraction of many in their quaint downtown focused on arts, culture, and oil history. Check out the town’s murals and sculptures, too.
